Hey Omar,

I wish i could have seen that huge smile on your face when Obama won lol. I was so pissed last night when I saw this lady say so much negative stuff about him after she voted. Despite all the racist taunts that Obama faced, he made it and I am so happy!

Hey you!! Tonight, as I watched Obama give his first speech as president-elect, I thought about you and wondered if you were among the crowd at Grant Park! First, let me just say what a glorious day this is! I am so proud of EVERYONE who stepped out and stepped up to cast their votes and let their voices be heard... change is coming!!

Anyway, I've been meaning to sit still and read some of your posts but there always seems to be something pulling me in one direction or another! However, after listening to Obama I decided to make the time...

You, my dear cousin, are as impressive to me as our 44th president... After reading about you and some of the things you've suffered through (things you would think I would have already known as your cousin) as well as the many accomplishments you've already achieved, I regret that we don't know one another better than we do. I am so impressed by your perseverance, your determination, your positive outlook, your desire to make the most of the time you have and your drive to make a difference! You are an intelligent and inspirational young man and if there is ever anything I can do to help you along your path... just ask!!

Do your thing at Northwestern and one day I hope to see your name on a ballot!

Much Love & Respect,

u kno...i have been wondering the same thing, i guess regardless of what is said and done and who dies, racism is still alive and kicking in America and as such, despite the fact that Obama is the better candidate through and through its always going to be an uphill battle for him.

lets yell for CHANGE ( u already know what i mean)
