About me
I am 26 year old Jamaican pursuing studies in America. I transfered to Monroe college in September 2005, and completed my BBA in December 2007. Currently, I am on a six month “work break” and will start Law School in September 2008.
Before coming to America, I worked at the National Housing Trust in Kingston, Jamaica. While at the Trust, I found the “We Care – Adopt a Child Program”. Through this initiative, we adopted several needy high school students, and took care of their expenses. We also provided mentor-ship to these ambitious young Jamaicans. In the aftermath of Hurricane Ivan in 2004, I rallied staff support to collect food and other essential items to assist the Jamaica Red Cross with their relief effort.
While at Monroe college, I founded the Pre-Law club and Debate Society. I also held leadership positions in several other on campus organizations, allowing me to represent the school at numerous events New York, Philadelphia, Connecticut, Washington DC, Kansas and St. Lucia.
I will use this blog to document my pursuit of a career as a corporate lawyer. I will also use it to answer any related questions which reader may pose.

Congratulations!! on making it this far. You can only go further from here. You have the right mind set. Your story is shared by many and without a doubt will inspire others to fight in spite of their situation. You are a born leader and is here for a purpose. Stay focussed and remain humble. You will achieve or continue to achieve greatness. You have used your experience to tap into the needs of others and offer assistance when you were in need and that is very unselfish and commendable. You will make it and I am sure others with the resources will help you.

Best Wishes and You will make it.
While browsing the Web I stumbled upon your blog page. There is not much to say other than YOU WERE BORN TO LEAD, and you confirm one of our sayings in Jamaica: “We little but we talawah.” I am currently writing a book and would love to include your story and achievements to date. Please give me a link when you have some time.
Respect,
